The growing problems of counterfeiting and piracy threaten businesses and consumers in nearly every region of the world. Fake products deprive legitimate businesses of revenue, undermine customer confidence and brand integrity, and in many cases threaten the health and safety of consumers. Many aspects of the counterfeiting problem are beyond the control of businesses. But one important area over which businesses can exert a large measure of control is the security of their supply chains.
To help companies improve supply chain security, the U.S. Chamber of Commerce and the Coalition Against Counterfeiting and Piracy (CACP) will host a 90-minute educational Webinar on supply chain security.
This interactive Webinar will focus on proven strategies and techniques companies, both small and large, can employ to protect their supply chains from counterfeiters and modern-day pirates. While there is no one size fits all solution, this Webinar will feature successful ways that companies protect their supply chains—including strategies for purchasing, manufacturing, transportation, sourcing, packaging, distribution, and more.

Speakers: Jack Holleran—Senior Manager, Fraud Investigation and Dispute Services for Ernst &Young will discuss the basics of developing a brand and supply chain protection strategy.
Andy Cifranic—Brand and Intellectual Property Manager for Bendix Commercial Vehicle Systems LLC will highlight some successful strategies Bendix has developed and employed to protect their supply chain and their brand.

Webcast system requirements: Internet Explorer version 5 or later, Windows Media Player 8 or greater, and an Internet connection of 28.8 Kbps or greater (dial up speed), plus speakers or soundcard with built-in speaker. If you have MAC users, they will receive audio-only over the internet and will need to download the slideshow presentation from the Viewer page on the day of the conference. The download will be in Adobe Reader format and a free download is available to those who need it on Viewer page. Minimum system requirements for MAC are same as PC, except that OSX is preferred.
